Due to the recent power outage in The Commish's Office on Thursday (the lamps got lit again around 8PM), coupled with the lure of watching Game 7 of the American League Championship Series between the Yankees and the Red Sox, the first News & Notes column of the season will be delayed until next week's stats.

The Commish apologizes for the delay but promises a full column next week which will contain things such as:

- A quick Draft Day recap and Big Easy Burger review (still a 4-bun rating!)
- Individual fantasy team intros
- Some rookie owner hazing, such as:.

Can we call Kyle Burnham, J.R. junior? Because that would be J.R. JR. wouldn't it?

If you go to Denny's and order a Brian Ouelette are your eggs Whaler green?
John "Barney" Wrobel, early Calder Trophy candidate, can he take the pressure of being in 1st place after 3 days?
Johnny Laputka Returns! Now if he adds Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ben Clymer to the roster can we write about Ben and J-La reuniting?
Eric Zielinski, Johnny La's co-owner, any relation to Zarley Zalapski?
How the heck did Bruce "McNall" Lerman wind up as Brian's partner? I thought baseball season was over?

- At least one sentence in which will appear the phrases "Dany Heatley", "Ferrari" and "Pelle Lindbergh"

- The Coyotes hot start, if it continues for another week. Must be the new uniforms!
- Discussion on which Fleury is better, Theo or Marc-Andre?
- Cubs fans interfering with pucks at Blackhawks games (just kidding...)
- A possible Who song parody featuring Predators forward Jordin Tootoo

Who are you? Too-too, too-too, I really want to know

Who are you? Too-too, too-too, big rugged eskimo

- ...and why oh why would a white tiger attack Patrick Roy? He must've been a Red Wings fan...

Please check back next week for all the goodies and once again The Commish's Office apologizes for not delivering a column this week. Please forward all your complaints to Jersey Central Power and Light and Andy Pettitte, who couldn't shut down the Sox in Game 6...
